How many of you are getting both the Flu and COVID shots?

As a Front liner, Nope and Nope. I've been exposed to every virus, bacteria, fungus, yeast you can imagine working in the hospital.
After watching my brother and mother developed heart issues after receiving Covid shots no for me ! However I had had friends receive it with no issues , I worked straight through the Covid epidemic with only a mild episode of it. My brother was warned by his heart doctor not to get a second shot or booster for it .

I've had to get Flu shots for 25 years and COVID-19 ones since 2020. It's required in my hospital job.

I haven't had any severe reactions, so far. The early COVID-19 ones hurt a lot more. The second one, especially (in those days, you needed two shots for the initial treatment).

I didn't get the vaccine and fortunately it wasn't required by my employer. That mandate was struck down for large businesses except the medical industry.
I work indirectly for Big Pharma as they are all of our customers including NIH and NIAID as well as 19 of the world health agencies. I was about to lose my job while they tried to push all contractors to get it. Luckily the company realized that they would lose half the workforce since we are global and the legal issues between all the countries would be a nightmare so they dropped it at the last minute.

Getting both, but not together, a week apart. Have had both since the Covid shot came out.

In a way, I didn't mind. I didn't have to think about it or make a decision one way or the other. Hospitals and clinics have RNs going around all day giving shots. So, you don't need to make an appointment with Employee Health (which can be cumbersome at best).

Took 2 pokes in the left shoulder yesterday morning. Feeling minor shoulder soreness. A bit tired and slow moving while working in the yard afterward. (could be just plain old age) Nose was plugged up last night and a minor sore throat this morning. Expect all this to blow over in a day or 2.

FWIW, NO, last time I was knowingly inoculated for anything, was whatever they shot me with in Navy boot camp in the early fall of 1974 at 19 yrs. old !
I keep my immune system quite active dealing with my semi toxic ingesting lifestyle, very little chance for it to become lethargic, & I generally eat very heathy, and most importantly, try to maximize a stress free lifestyle and I strive to get good restful full night`s sleep every night.

Seems to be working for me.

I'll be getting them both. Due to a previous illness I've been told my immune system isn't as strong as it could be. Even before that the few times I got the flu it kicked my butt. On a semi related not, I've been putting off getting the Shingles shot. Having gotten that before I really don't want it again.

The shingles shot does rather hurt and it took two doses for me.

Yes, you need two shots of the shingles vaccine for it to work... the couple days of feeling crappy are worth it to not get shingles. I had a case on my left shin when I was in the USAF and they could do nothing for it and I was miserable for three or 4 weeks until it finally faded away- I don't want to go through that again. My mother had it around her right eye and forehead- that was nasty.
