How many of you are getting both the Flu and COVID shots?

I got my Flu and Covid shots on Tuesday and had a slight headache for a few hours. I slept like a rock for nine hours last night and today I feel poorly, kind of like you do when you notice you have a cold coming on. I'll probably be fine tomorrow just like all the other times.

Got the senior’s flu shot at a clinic about three bocks away ‘cause my wife had to have blood drawn for a doctors exam, and I went with her. They didn’t have covid vaccine, but my PCP has been ambivalent about recommending that shot for the past couple of years anyway, so I didn’t worry about it. The tech gave it high on my left arm/shoulder. That was about 11:00 this morning. 6pm now and my shoulder is fairly sore and getting more so.
Try 400mg of Motrin if you don't have issues with it.

I got both shots about a month ago. Guess what? Two weeks later I got Covid-19! The first time ever! My last Covid test was Sunday night and it was still positive, although the line was faint. Here I am, a bit more than two weeks after being diagnosed and have no symptoms except for a bad nagging cough that is driving me crazy!! I was told that the Covid shot takes a least 4 weeks for full protection, so I was just unlucky being exposed to the virus two weeks after the shot!

Getting the Vaccine does not mean you cannot get Covid. Just that it probably won't be severe, put you in the Hospital or kill you.

Correct. Also, if you get the shot early in the season, another crazy mutated variant can pop up later.

That virus is a crazy thing.
I've had very mild Covid three times, and it was very mild because of the vaccine . If I'd had my first bout before the vaccine I might not be around. It seems to me that if you fly anywhere you're likely to get it, all my bouts came after flights of over 4 hours.

I'm scheduled to get 4 vaccines tomorrow:
  • Flu
  • COVID
  • Pneumonia
  • Shingles
Did not feel a thing from the Flu shot this year, Covid I felt a little funny for a day and my arm hurt for two. Pneumonia -nothing. Shingles vaccine made me itchy for a day.

Now we have the Pneumonic plague to look forward too. I heard they may have a vaccine for it ? The Pneumonic Plague is nothing to sneeze at, 90% death rate.

With the short incubation time it is much easier to contain, and being a bacteria It's not as transferable as a virus.

Having recently had my Flu and COVID shots I have my name down for 'Pneumococcal' and 'Shingles' as soon as supplies are available.
