How many of you are getting both the Flu and COVID shots?

I have had flu shots and not had flu shot and I have not had the flu in 50 years or longer. I will say if I get one and I am I insist on getting and a single use shot vial to avoid Thimerosal. Even though the body can clear it faster than fish mercury I figure better to avoid it.
As for the COVID shot or boosters I have never needed one and the potential for side effects is higher than I want to find out about.
This year it looks like they got it right so yes to:
Fluzone High-Dose Quadrivalent single-dose prefilled syringe (which functions identically to a single-shot vial).

A personal update. When I got the flu shot in the past, I usually have a day or so of mild flu symptoms and it'd pass pretty quickly.
This year, I got the flu shot and Covid booster Monday Sept 28th. Since Tuesday I have been headachy, had a racking cough, and nonstop nasal drop.
Its Sunday, and I'm not going to church today since I normally sing in the choir and frankly can't sing right now (some notes makes me cough)
and don't want to risk sharing among my friends. I had a fever overnight, so it "may" be easing up (hope hope), but after nearly a week of this
I am not impressed with the current medical community.

I asked AI "who is responsible for the 2026 Flu Vaccine" and it replied:
"Private-sector manufacturers like Sanofi and CSL Seqirus produce the seasonal flu vaccine, while the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) selects the specific virus strains".

This years Flu shot, I got the high strength senior dose, I never felt a thing. My arm was not even sore. The Covid shot did make my arm sore for a day or two. Felt a tiny bit off but then fine. In the past, I was talked into getting them together and that did knock me for a loop for a day or two, then all good. That is why I space them out about a week. If the only way to get them was both at the same time , I would do it , of course.

Hope you are feeling better very soon.

Again, thread rules plainly stated its about Personal experience.
If you have not had a shot your observations and opinions are not relevant to this thread.
I don't see anywhere that it is stated that it's personal experience only. It comes across to me it's your own personal opinion and pro vax Bias coming through loud and clear. I've lost at least two good friends from getting vaxed so I ain't going there and hope others don't either. Ban my ass if you want to, I'm to the point that I don't give a rats ass.

The personal Covid shots discussion is here - https://audiokarma.org/forums/index...onal-experience-with-the-covid-vaccine.941969
Not for arguments, but for direct personal experiences only - 48 pages deep.

Updated - I apologize and stand corrected - the original COVID-only thread linked above was personal experiences only. I had confused this thread with that one.

Like that thread, this thread does not allow arguments or opinion - no quotes from Faucci or Malone or any of that, but if you don't want a shot, feel free to say so.
I've been sick all week and been up since 6AM. Its not an excuse, but life happens.

And as a general rule, as in all threads on AK, please be civil and respectful of others (and me).

I fought with other moderators who wanted to kill all the Covid threads on the site since it wasn't audio and too easily went political.
The reason the two existing threads stay is because they do not allow opinion or argument, so they stayed civilized and had not gone political.
If you want to argue against getting Vaxed there are plenty of non-audio sites you can go to for that. But AK isn't one of them.

Got the senior’s flu shot at a clinic about three bocks away ‘cause my wife had to have blood drawn for a doctors exam, and I went with her. They didn’t have covid vaccine, but my PCP has been ambivalent about recommending that shot for the past couple of years anyway, so I didn’t worry about it. The tech gave it high on my left arm/shoulder. That was about 11:00 this morning. 6pm now and my shoulder is fairly sore and getting more so.
