600ish lbft at the crank and small (245) drag radials. Edit: if I can find some.. just shopped a little.

Last week I saw an episode of Engine Masters where they played with the boost on the guys slant 6. I think they got about 220hp out of it before it blew a head gasket.
I know first hand the slant 6 is rugged little 6 banger as I have put one though hell in my youth. When everything on the car ('66 Valiant) was beyond repair I threw a brick on the pedal to finish it off. It took a good minute or so of wide open throttle before it popped a hole the size of my fist through the side of the block and came to a screeching end. My friends watching and I were impressed it ran that long at WOT without a load...and it was already an oil burner to begin with.

That's me in my Convertible around 2003. The car was much enjoyed my my wife and me, but truth be told it was not a very good car. With the top down you could see the trunk deck moving in a different horizontal plane than the rear view mirror. But it never let us down, and it was very pretty..
My pops had a 64 Dart GT and a 72 Swinger with warmed over 225’s while I was growing up, they where fun cars when I was in HS.
I prefer my slanted engine with 4cyls and numbers like B21 and B230 as names. Built some fun versions of those while down that rabbit hole
I watched them bring that back to life, then a refresh and another run. Didn’t they do a full rebuild for the turbo runs? I haven’t watched all the 300 ones yet… now I need to watch this one.If you can believe the stuff they do on Power Nation, they got over 500 HP out of a turbocharged Ford 300 I6.I can't imagine it would hold up long like that, though.
If they built it right 500hp with a turbo should be an easy day for that. And it should be reliable.
A Turbo build can be basic just need to do studs and such and get it flowing right.
I was getting close to that out of Volvo B230 4cyl’s (400-450ish at the crank) and everyone I built is regularly used and still together. That’s 16yrs ago. That said those Volvos are bullet proof, but so is that Ford.
Edit: either way now I need to watch the builds tonight and see what they did

Not sure why that picture of that fine looking car, and it`s photographed location in Ft. Myers FL. in 2019 has any meaning/significance for me ?

And your direct response to me just caught me off guard and I was confused, since I live in NE. FL. and had never been to Ft. Myers in my soon to be 67 yrs. of always living in FL.
