Thank You for the correction Sam, your right it's a Continental and not a Panther chassis, my bad

And yes #5_Alive, it's a pic I took from our sister site VideoKarma, in the "Things with motors" subforum, a member named grimer posted it as the "Lincazer" and described how he built it

Still an interesting proposition. It has a 4.0L transverse mounted V8 driving the front wheels. Maybe they used an Explorer transfer case for all wheel drive. If they were doing it to be different, I get it. However, Panther is much closer to a truck that a Continental will ever be. All terrain Vic's have been done many times before.

Dana 60 is back in. It took much longer than I thought, waited 4 days for ring gear bolts and they had to be shortened .200", carrier bolts were tired and wouldn't torque so new grade 8 went in, also had to be shortened 1/4". And I tore an oblique that had me immobile for 5 days. Hopefully the taller gear ratio will keep the front end from going skyward.

Sadly I lost that one to an asshole cab driver who tried to cut right in front of me on the highway while I was going about 70 MPH, the Lincoln, while mortally wounded, was still able to drive home. The cab left on two different tow trucks since it was smashed into two pieces and the cabbie spent a good few months in the hospital. Thankfully a couple of other motorists told the cops what the cabbie had done, so I was in the clear and he lost his hackney license for reckless driving......

Never had the pleasure of riding in one but I have seen one at the pick-a-part. What I remember was the massively heavy suicide doors. They felt like bank vault doors.

You like those Moser’s? I need axles for the Galaxie when I put it back together, switching the carrier to 31 spline with an Eaton.
