Thats what my 99 Mazda B4000 4.0 (ranger) averages. I might get 18 on the highway sometimes but not often, I am surrounded by big hills though

He was always a Chrysler enthusiast and finally bought a brand new fully loaded New Yorker in '76. The problems he experienced were numerous (some funny like a spring coil ripping through the driver's seat tearing his pants!) culminating with complete engine failure just beyond the 12k warranty. He had continually reported overheating, but the dealer assured him that was just how the "lean burn" engines worked. Coolant had gotten into the oil and engine seized requiring replacement.
He sold it shortly afterwards.
