Let's name some movies that have Hi-Fi in some of their scenes. I'll start off with two that I know of:

"Ruthless People"

"Boogie Nights"

Those threads are all about gear being spotted in movies. From the couple of scenes that the OP posted, he appears to be looking for scenes that actually talk about the equipment (High Fidelity would not qualify, IIRC).

There's the scene at the end of The Italian Job, which I couldn't find, but here's one towards the beginning that talks about it.

ETA: found the ending scene (skip to 5:14; apparently AK doesn't allow you to link to a specific time in a clip)

Pulp Fiction has this hifi-shop scene. Some Technics in the shelf.

I remember a scene in American physco and also 9 1/2 but I don't know how to search for it as I don't have any movie subscriptions.,maybe someone can help.
Fun movies though

In the movie White of the eye. There is a scene where David Keith installs some high end system in a client's home.
I highly recommend this movie if you have not seen it.

Yeah that's what I meant. Thanks for clarifying for me, and the clips.

Infernal Affairs, remade by Martin Scorsese at The Departed

With Andy Lau and Tony Leung (he will be the Mandarin in an upcoming Marvel movie)

Been in the Audio Space shop (it's not a movie set, but a real shop) a few times. It's in Sham Shui Po, a interesting (and somewhat gritty) part of Hong Kong.

Here's a view from the street outside. The street used to be something of a "Thieves Market" back in the day.

Pam's apartment scene in Urban Cowboy had a monster reciever and what looked like some Advent speakers... Sansui? I could never figure it out. On a side note that apartment sold recently for 750k
