If I play my two channel music thru the MDA from the 871 would the two channel be equal to the 201 run similarly

No, other companies also make great DAC chips.

And what goes around the DAC chip counts as much as the chip itself. The quality of the power supply and the op-amps are also very important.

Mac designs oversize power supplies, and in the case of the MCD201, the Cirrus Logic reference designed is pretty much what they used. Since a reference design is by definition overkill to show a DAC chip at it's best, well that tells me that no compromises were done.
