Post ugly production cars here

Daimler SP250 ... hmmm... with the knockoff wire wheels, its looks aren't so bad.

Can't forget the Bricklin.. they didn't go over so well in the styling department. Matter a fact, none of those wedge cars seemed to go over well other than the Delorian.

The Bricklin failed at so many levels, didn't it?

PM, Bigerik, and my earlier banter regarding the G4 F-body Chevrolet, in the form of a circa '98-02 Camaro, reminds me of a bowtie design I did (and still do) find challenging to like: C4 (4th-gen) Corvette. Not wanting to throw the baby out w/ the bathwater, I should point out that there were a a couple of exceptions to C4 series disfavor:

1991 (1990 for the ZR-1): C4s received updated body & interior appointments that resulted in this:

1996: Grand Sport (GS) model --the last in line -- of the C4 series was released; I especially liked the convertible (a fairly scarce model, Vette guys tell me) version of this guy:

1984-1990: However most of the C4 series resembled this '85 specimen:

Speaking of 'vettes.

The interior of the C5 is a terrible, awful, dank and depressing place to be. Pass the smack in a second, I'm tying off the dinosaur.

I've actually seen an Opel recently, the one that looks like a mini-vette, it's actually quite eye-catching. I'm somewhat embarassed to admit, but I liked all the cars you posted:scratch2:...then again I think the edsel isn't really that bad off, at least compared to other cars.

I have actually seen a couple around town, EVERY time I have to qauwk at it, it's so brutally ugly and mishapen. It has the same problem many other new-ish cars has, it seems the designer got two decent looking cars, then spliced the top half of one on the bottom of the other, hideous little bastard, that nissan.

Here's a part-way contender...the back end of a chevy traverse, front is pretty generic, but overall the whole car is too "pudgy" and round, but once you see the tail-end it all turns around. Trust me, find a white one around town and look, I can't explain it's ugliness, but it's there, inately:no:

With you on all but one; always had a soft spot for the little friggin' Opel GT.

This one's quite handsome:

This example, not so much (though I still like the lines of the body):

Actually some of the pictures of the opel gt look pretty good I just used it as an example because it resembles a Vette even though some years of Vett's werent so hot.

Ugly, and odd to our eyes, are not the same thing.

Had the Edsel been a success (and the late '50s recession made that an impossibility), we'd think its styling was a classic. 3/4 scale '50s/'60s cars from Europe are not more ugly than a '56 Oldsmobile is to Euroeyes. They just look odd to each other.

That is all.

I don't think I remember anyone posting a Citroen.. I remember how ugly we all thought they were when I was in Europe..

I came this close to disagreeing with you. And then I thought of French cars...
