A friend had one of these. It was ugly but poorly made. The performance package in the special editions boasted 150 HP and top speed of 100. I assume that was MPH, not KPH.

The 1979 Z-28 Camaro claimed 175 HP. Sucking in the '70s.

I got no issue with them borrowing from Ferrari in the grille shape.

Enzo's boys pulled it off. The Bow Tie boys just yanked it off.

Nokian made them and even gave them to me for free based on their Gazzoloddi tire. I designed the bike but a local frame builder built it and the toughest thing was getting the chain alignment correct for the gears I was going to use. A tandem rear hub with the crappiest Shimano BB made it work.

No studs were necessary on the Iditarod trail.

Reminds me a bit of the GLAS GT/BMW 1600GT.

I love the GLAS / BMW 1600GT. I wish I had one...but with an M42 or S14 motor in it...and a 5-speed...

04-06 GTOs are one sweet machine. The problem is everyone thought they'd have shaker hood scoops & all that crap. If you want a stealth 100+MPH freeway cruiser...you want a GTO. Plus...they have the BEST seats ever installed in a car by The General. 04s are a bargain, since that was the only year with the aluminum 5.7. 05 & 06 got the alloy 6.0 for even more snort. The 5.7 is more than adequate. Handling is superb in any version. Just a great car.

And, if you need another pair of doors...you need a G8. Essentially the same platform...base car gets the DOHC 3.6 (which works just fine thankyouverymuch), the GT wedges the alloy 6.0 under the hood. Again, outstanding seats, handling & looks.

Granted, they're Americanized Holdens from Down Under(with the basic design coming from Opel, ja)...but, as we know, Aussies like lots of motor.
