She was smoking these for years from a local tribal "Trading Post".

A new tribal fuel station/store opened halfway closer to us, and the cost of the smokes got even more affordable, with half the drive. I don't know the name of them offhand. I'll find out and post it when she who must be obeyed returns from the market.

I just had to have the fuel pump in my pickup replaced (so farking expensive that I don't want to shock the forum. Search: Bosch VP44 and Dodge Cummins 24v diesel). The mechanic turned me onto this one,...
If you register your vehicle on a tribal address, you don't get hassled for smog checks.
He registers his Dodge diesel out at Pala reservation post office, as merely a PO Box add'y, and he hasn't needed to get smogged for years.

Just replaced cv joint(50), which led to trans/ cv seal, bull joint, tie rod, trans fluid...im still healing. About 200 total. Coffee maker broke but got it going with deoxit...not internally water proof. Everything breaks and increases exponentially in cost to repair/ replace.

Thanks for the information. I searched that pump's cost, and Wow! Has Bosch fixed the issue, so you aren't replacing these every other year?

Yeah, I've noticed too. My usual bag went from 12 to 18 bucks in about a year. Climate issues in Brazil and Vietnam have been hammering supply. Are you buying green beans or roasted? I've been thinking about buying in bulk to lock in price.

This is where she is at for Indian Tobacco cigs these days. They are suggested as being as good as Camel and Marlboro 100's that they've replaced.

I get this. Lavazza Espresso Whole Bean Coffee, Medium Roast, 100% Arabica, 2.2 lb Bag. Right now it's 17.49. Paid 22 just a month ago. Go figure. Going to order 2 bags right now at that price. Done and Done.

I calculated the bean at about 50¢ per brewed cup from about 2010 to 2024. It's about $1.50 now.

Our local roaster still sells by the full pound. No specialty/high zoot beans, just good old standard Columbian for $15/lb.

Price per cup of course depends on cup size, but for an 8oz cup it costs us about $0.45 per brewed cup for the beans.

For green beans I often buy from Burman's because they arrive in a timely manner and shipping isn't too bad. Most stuff there is roughly $7 to $10/lb in 1lb quantity. A little cheaper with larger quantities. Now that the weather is a bit warmer I'll be roasting more than buying roasted as I prefer to roast outside or in the garage with big door open, rather than in the house.

Looked it up, about 10 bucks. They offer 'unflavored.' Never heard of unflavored coffee.

Unflavored in that context means plain old coffee, in contrast to coffee that's been infused with non-coffee flavorings like hazelnut, caramel, or various flavor profiles like Highlander Grog, Jamaican Me Crazy, etc., etc.

Didn't drink Java one day and slowly saw the text on the computer shrink to a small circle with a lit halo. Went home and had a migraine that had me in tears- brain splitting ache, sweating profusely and laying on the floor. Nothing helped. Why I decided to grab the pot and drink the remaining Java with water as I bent over the sink, I don't know. But Shazam! Migraine subsided to just a small headache. To this day, have to watch amount drunk or my vision blurs, begin sweating and a headache insues. Scary.

This is one of the reasons many over-the-counter migraine medications have caffeine in them.

Sadly, I recently bobbled and broke the grounds jar on my ancient Kitchen Aide burr mill. It now sports a clear tea cup to catch the grounds.
