Let's see those crossover networks and the stuff in the box. What makes your speakers tick?
Also show a YouTube vid of them in operation if you can. Left. IMG_2671.JPGIMG_2668.JPGIMG_2669.JPGIMG_2670.JPG

I made 2 of these Baffle Step Compensation networks for my Stephens Trusonic 80FR project. I unwound the inductor down from 3.0mH to 2.8mH. The little bugger works like a charm bringing the bass notes lower and more pronounced.

Still trying to figure a better solution to the oversized poly caps that are so en vogue these days. Below is a modular capacitor board, although I'm hoping for the opportunity to redo the entire PC board on another AKer's Rock Monitors in the near future. Those Coke can size caps add another 30 - 35 square inches, so it can only be done when space allows for it.

In the middle of lengthening a board in which I'm upgrading the bandpass caps from electrolytic to poly caps. Second order on all drivers with foil bypass caps for the tweeter and midrange drivers. Coils will be transferred from old board to new as they are not a wear item.

You didn't hurt your back trying to heft that capacitor into place, did you?

Impressive handiwork.

Some nice looking crossover rebuilds here too! Lots of Dayton and Audyn replacement capacitors. Any opinions on their sound quality, would be greatly appreciated, as I want to redo my 90s soon.

Rebuilt the crossovers for my ESS PS-8's with all new parts. Mounted them on a piece of 1/4" mdf and screwed it to the bottom of the speaker.

Hadn't hooked up the wires yet from the binding posts. That's what's going to the + markings. Can't see the - behind the coil.
