I just watched Cheap Trick on PBS...They sound absolutely fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised that everything was as it should be after all these years.
I would buy a ticket tomorrow.

Ahh the GPZ...I remember that well along with the Irish Lass that rode with me.

Those were the days indeed. I have to say I wore a helmet 70% of the time. My problem was hot humid Tulsa and wearing t-shirts and shorts...Or no T-Shirt at all.

There's nothing like riding down along the beach in Malibu on Hwy 1 in the summer with no shirt! And with a helmet, nobody has to know I'm a few decades out of being a kid But definitely a helmet 100% of the time for me (now & before it was the law as well), but if I had to wear leathers all the time, I'd probably cut my riding in half. Sure there's a risk of skin loss, but a plane might drop an ice block on my head right now while I'm typing this in the kitchen at home...

It`s a beauty.... I have been wanting to get a big touring type bike, something with a windshield anyhow, A big HD would fit the bill

Here's a picture of my motorcycle garage Left to right: '85 Yamaha VMX12 V-Max; 1985 Honda VF1000R (NOT interceptor; the full race version) ; and 2000 Yamaha R1. Off screen on the right is my wife's '05 Suzuki DR650 dual sport.

This has been (knock on wood) the first summer when both the V-Max and the VF1000R decided to run right at the same time, but as tradition has it, the VF1000R developed a gasping/hesitating problem last Sunday, so I'll have to chase a vacuum leak or carb problem (AGAIN)... That's why I "need" the R1, since it always runs right, and I can get parts for it without spending the mortgage money (V-max parts) or having to buy parts overseas and wait a month (VF1000R).
