Show us your Motorcycles

I feel your pain. I've always preferred sport bikes but at 6'3 and 190 lbs I'm not exactly sport bike size. One of my racetrack buddies told me I looked like a bear on a bicycle on my ZX-6R.
I feel this, I'm 2 inches taller and 35 pounds heavier than you. Most bikes feel like kids toys when I sit on them. The one that comes to mind is I fixed up a friend's Suzuki gsx650 a few years ago and struggled test riding it afterwards. My knees hit the handlebars when I tried shifting.

Circa '84 - Bought this '74 Z-1 in '80 bone stock except a RC racing header. It had not been rejetted and ran like crap. Always having a love for bikes since I was very young, I bought five sets of jets and found the right one for the free flowing exhaust. Tapped the rear end of a car one night cruising the strip and bent the frame. In 83 I went to American Motorcycle Instutute in Daytona. When I got back home I found a blown Z-1 and married the two. I knew then how to sync the carbs and the rest of what needed to be done. Back then I weighed about a buck 50 and couldnt keep the front end down, especially hitting second gear at 55-60 MPH. I set the fork down an 1/4 of an inch and put caged bearings in it , got rid of the high speed wobbles they were notorious for. Man could it run, would eat the then new GS 1100's up.

What fun days!

2021 Triumph Street Triple R 765. A good many factory accessories added, including tinted flyscreen, seat cowl, heated grips, auxiliary power socket, lower chain guard, bar end mirrors - sport, Arrow exhaust, scrolling LED turn indicators, and clear LED taillight. From Evotech Performance, also in the UK, their tail tidy, blanking plates (needed due to pillion footrests delete), and paddock stand bobbins. From Garmin a Zumo XT, hard-wired in.

Very nice! Some of those Boxer Cup bikes were signed by Randy Mamola. Yours looks to be a little newer than those. Ever track it? I'm doing a track day tomorrow with my little Triumph, at Palmer MA.
First of all thank you. This is an 05, the 03 and 04 were the white and blue Randy Mamola signed specials. The 05s were a little more performance oriented, having taller, revalved suspension for better handling and ground clearance, and the Laser mufflers. I added the Laser y-pipe and eliminated the catalytic converter, and the dB killers in the mufflers so it doesn't sound like your typical BMW twin.
And no it's never been on the track because the carbon fiber pieces are eye wateringly expensive, although it's been leaned over far enough to touch the titanium slider that's in the carbon fiber valve cover covers on a back road ride.
I miss track days and racing but I'm too old to bounce off the pavement again.

My first street bike was a 1973 H1 triple that I bought used in 1977, and put a 76' tank and furniture on it. I saw that the dealer I bought it from had a used Z1 on the floor and I took my H1 in ready to trade it. At 16 years old, the Z1 scared the living **** out of me and I sheepishly told the salesman I was going to keep my H1. During my freshman year of college, I found a used silver Z1-R at a local dealer and took it for a test drive. If I hadn't been a poor college kid, I would have bought it in a heartbeat. The improvements in frame geometry and handling was better than any of the triples (especially the widomaker!) and the original Z1. Any one of those 3 bikes today would be worth a mint in restored condition.

After riding in four wheel vehicles for decades I decided "life is too short" and decided to get back on two wheels. (I bought my first motorcycle at age 19.)

After much research and going back and forth between used and new options I chose a 2022 BMW R9T PURE. I picked it up a month ago and it's been a lot of fun getting my motorcycle "sea legs" back.

Built this in 2005, it’s been in storage sine 2007, long story, so thought I’d clean it up, put on a new battery etc….It’s a 1954 Panhead Hardtail, with my design touches, excuse the photo, it’s parked in the barn, in the shade:cool:

That is sweet! I've been starting to search for an older chopper, digger, or something along those lines.
