The ultimate speaker you want, but do not have

I know it's old school, and may not compare in sound to other modern speakers, but I've wanted the JBL Paragon since I was a kid. I've only seen one up close my whole life. Enormous and beautiful, and a piece of history.

I've only seen them, (it), in pictures, but I know what you mean. What a killer "den/family room" speaker that would be.

The speakers I would most like to OWN for personal listening are the Infinity IRS Vs. I've heard them (along with many of the speakers mentioned so far in this thread and other renowned speakers), and they were by far the best I've ever heard, really in a league of their own when it came to sheer realism with even the most challenging music.

Unfortunately, to get them I'd have to get a much larger listening space, too. Barring an at-the-moment unforseen windfall, t will be a long time, if ever, before I can own a pair. :sigh:

The speakers I would most like to HEAR, that I have not heard yet, were the early Beveridge speakers. Guess I have a thing for high-quality line-array type speakers.

Infinity QRS or the Wilsons,(I forget the model #) that come in 4 pieces like the Infinities.

Infinity QRS came in two cabinets, not four, although the big woofer was in a bulge at the side of the base, that made each cabinet nearly as big as two "normal" speaker cabinets. You might be thinking of the RS-1bs or IRS Vs, both of which came in four columns, as did the original Betas.

I think the Wilsons you are thinking of are the Wilson Wamms.

I have always wanted to try a pair of Klipschorns. Just something about them.

Me too. Even a beat-up pair would be OK with me. Dunno about my wife, though:(

The speaker I think I'd want most is the Living Voice OBX-RW. They don't take up much space and are beautiful, as is their sound

I went to a HiFi show when I was in my teens and heard the mighty Paragon.

It filled the whole center with glorious sound, very impressive.

Some Focal's Grande Utopia EM would be awesome to me :)

Kind of out of my price range:sigh:

As far as stereo speakers go, I am currently in love with these Sansui XL-500C's. They're actually for sale locally but they won't fit into the stereo budget...

For modern home theater, I desperately want a 7.1 system completely comprised of Klipsch Reference series...

as a huge DCM fan, I would want the huge DCM TF-2000...or the TW 10 if it exists.

Hey, Overkill, you still have two sets of these?

Okay, right now my speakers are stacked Large Advents supplemented with BIC Venturi speakers as my "C" choice. They are hooked up to my Kenwood 10000 II receiver, which has a fantastic sound IMO, the best one I've owned so far. But, man, I am dying to have some Klipsch Heresy speakers. I'm not sure they'd sound better, but I still want them.
