What tv show are you currently binging?

Rewatching For all mankind and trying to time it so we can finish off with the current season finale in late May... right now we're managing one season a week, fingers crossed the math works out!

"Shrinking" on Apple. Amusing, basically a sitcom. Bob Newhart meets "The Californians." Harrison Ford is great.

Just finished off a Norwegian detective series, "Detective Hole" ('26) who lives up to his name in English, being a down and out drunk!

It plot plods along at times, with the above policeman, being his own worst enemy with a "glass/bottle" in his hand. Because of his addiction, you kinda learn to hate the detective, but he seems smarter than the rest of the crew he has to work with.

There are times when you want to drop this series...and others that offer a glimmer of hope...that he'll get the job done.

The scenes can be gory at times. And there are...subtitles!

Just got to the end of "Counterpart" NETFLIX (2017-2019) and found it to be a challenge to follow.

Described as a thriller/drama/Sci/fi, the plot twists and turns in a convoluted manner.

Double the usual amount of characters doesn't come close to the complexity of trying to understand and keep up with...who is who!

It ranks right up there with "Momento" wherein one has to think backwards in time!

"Counterpart" being written by Marks gives Nolan a run-for-his-money on this TV series.

Legends on Netflix. Crime thriller about stopping heroin coming into Britain in the 90s. Well written and acted.

I don't know if it qualifies as binging if it's only six half hour episodes as yet?

We've started on "Small prophets" from the BBC. It's a surprisingly low key, pedestrian story about coping with loss, while also involving alchemy and supernatural beings grown in bottles. And it's a comedy.

The writing is just on point all the way (we've watched the first two episodes so far), and the whole scenario is both touching and off-kilter. Really well done!

Just finished the second season of "The White Lotus" (2021-25).

It's...it's just different...weird at times!

The TV series is based on character development of the rich and their quirts, and there is an abundance of these.

Def NOT a family offering, and found that I found myself FF through the more intimate scenes.

It has it's moments of comedy, but there is also a serious side to this production.

Someone in church recommended Schitt's Creek. Apparently available through Prime at no extra cost.
Watched the first 2 episodes and - just seemed kinda dumb and over-acted.
Nah, not for us ...

That series is absolutely HUGE here in Canada. And I have never understood why...bloody moronic is the only descriptor that fits it. Not for me either:thumbsdown:
