WTF?

I ALWAYS kept my cats indoors or under tight supervision if out in the front yard. I want MY cat to hunt and kill bugs in my house. I no longer have cats. I invite wolf spiders into my house in the fall to do the same job.

Well we can eat the cats if needed as there not good for anything else.Chubba was the name of our last black cat and no I did not eat him.All 24 lbs of him had a long and happy life.

Hate to burst your bubble, but that's not how it works. Apex predators are equally as important.
As an example.

Cats wouldn't be such a problem if we hadn't killed off the other animals that would keep them in check.

Thanks for that link re wolves and cottonwood trees.

I am reminded of the Sioux Indian saying, "Mitakuye oyasin." Which means, "We are all related."

Ain't we all.

Where have you been? You can follow humanity's expansion across the planet by the trail of creatures we've hunted into extinction.

And it's always followed by the same word.

*burp*

Someone more on the ball than me please add. What we call house cats were brought to North America. Before that there was no issue until Europeans and there guns and cats showed up.Then over time we get to this.A lot less birds.

My Kitties live indoors, they kill the occasional Spider, which is just fine with me. The Vomit & Poop on the other hand...

I was just about to add that......

this.

Cats are non-native to North and South America.

For the record, I respect cats, I don't want to harm cats, but I am drowning, right in an urban area, with feral cats. They get humanely caught (trap cage) and taken to the pound, where they're humanely spayed/neutered, fed, and offered to would-be homes. If that fails, they're humanely put down.

It's the best answer I got.
