AI is not smarter than us

Does anyone remember LexisNexis? I used this service 30 years ago for school and it is still around. It compiled relevant source articles pulled from newspapers, journals, court documents and so on. It did not have the fancy front end that compiled and formatted info but it worked the same. I prefer looking at the source material over AI output. AI is not new.

If you consider that many of the intellectual tasks we once had to do supposedly soon will all be done by AI and the menial backbreaking tasks to robots. That leaves us to do exactly what? If humanity at large is redundant what does redundancy entail exactly? If a lump like me can see that looming I'd guess that the trillions of dollars poured into AI are keenly aware of it.

Strange then that no-one is talking about the elephant in the room. Not either side of the combined criminal class in power anywhere on the planet.
