Favorite Bourbon

What I recall is it tasting of caramel/chocolate/leather and oak. There was a little heat at the end but not overbearing (I use a large ice ball in most pours). More of the same as far as the “finish” goes....maybe with a little more oak/vanilla at the end.

Thanks for the input. My FIL has tried Knob Creek and says it is pretty good. I will give it a spin.

The Single Barrel Reserve 120 is pretty good, IMO.

Picked up a bottle of the Knob Creek 12-year a few weeks back. I need to try that and the Single Barrel 120 side by side.

The Knob Creek Single Barrel 120 is quite good and a good deal for a nearly barrel proof offering. It's packed with flavor, but with its ABV, it is not intended for the faint of heart.

Snagged one of the Old Forester they did the release on. They did 4 different batches. This was the only one I’ve found locally. I really like it, it’s smooth, and has a great flavor that’s not to spicy or sweet. Just a well rounded sip. Was sipping on it over the weekend while BBQing. I found it at Target on sale for $22. Gonna pick up another bottle to have on hand for the holidays, this will be a good holiday drink.

I know, I know it is sacrilegious to a degree...... somewhat!

Mixed a GOOD SHOT of two KY's Jim Beam straight bourbon with some fresh local cloudy apple cider.

Not bad!

Not bourbon, but definitely complimentary to a bourbon-calibrated palette, try Teelings Single Malt, in any of the finishes. I was shocked last night, at how inviting and pleasant it was to my palette versus Scotch or Irish. I like Scotch and Irish, but I'm prepared for the adjustment. These cask finished products from Teelings need no adjustment, and are stringent-free. A really good whiskey product.

Just bought a bottle of that about an hour ago. Looking forward to a taste.

Was out for a bottle of Larceny single barrel but no luck, the shelf spot was empty.
I keep hoping the local CashWise will get Evan Single barrel back...tasty stuff! Where'd you get yours? (BTW: Morelli's on E 7th in St. Paul had it for just over $17/bottle. Hopefully my son picked me up a couple:))
