Eagle Rare Single Barrel, I need more!

The majority of it is still single barrel but since they automated bottling there are a few blended bottles as one barrel finishes and another starts. Thus, legally, they can't call the stock bottles single barrel. Only the store picks, so to speak, can be formally dubbed single barrel as those bottles are typically filled only from that barrel.

Fortunately this one is/was as a buddy of mine picked it up in Syracuse for me when he went home to see his folks, a single barrel select from Pascale’s liquor store. All I know is that it is very tasty.

Yes, I like ER for a solid go-to at moderate price. It's not common every place around here but it is usually available. Normally keep 1 or 2 bottles deep on the stock. Store picks if possible but they're a little harder to come by.

In Pennsylvania the state liquor system is having a lottery for a limited amount of Pappy Van Winkle. I put in for the 15 YO and the 20 YO. You can only have one bottle if you do win. I’m not holding my breath.

Another one bites the dust, my bottle of Eagle Rare, a single barrel selection. Wind chills yesterday were ranging from +5 degrees down to -5. That in my estimation called for several glasses of Eagle Rare, neat. Laid low in the recycling bin.

I had the weirdest dream last night.

Was at a party, mingling, and a guy I knew (who passed away several years back) comes out of the crowd towards me and he's got a bottle in his hand, taking swigs as he's walking. He gets close enough I say, Hey Doug, what you got there? He holds up the bottle and it's Eagle Rare 17. I say mind if I have a pull?, Doug says sure, raises the bottle to me, then it was over.

So, you're saying you had a "spirit visitation"?
