My gosh, never mind the dust. I took care of it after I saw it in the pics and covered the amps. Anyway, here are the triode wired and SETs I have. First pic shows my Western Electric 300B clones. They are just amazing and probably my favorite amps. The dusty Radii in the 3rd pic put out a little more. 13 watts in SET. I have a couple pair of Bottlehead Paramour 2a3 amps- 4th pic shows the solid walnut veneered ones with silver tops and various upgrades. These are closest to the WEs in performance. The last pic shows the standard Paramours w/ upgraded caps and black tops in solid walnut bases. And lastly a DIYtube Stereo 35 in the 5th pic wired in triode for 9 watts. There you go. They all get used alot here as they all sound slightly different. But all very impressive.

Totally cute, unfortunately I can only get one channel to work.

Wasn't Archer a Radio Shack brand? Looks almost identical and I'm willing to bet that it used exactly the same circuit and components at a Dollar less than mine is listed for in the realistic catalogue in 1963.

Yes, and often (in the late 1960s and 1970s) R/S kits were sold under the "Archer" name - and that little amp was sold under other brand names as well (e.g., "Trutest" by Lafayette and others) -- note that it is a transformerless, "killer" unit. For best results (i.e., longest life expectancy for the user) add an isolation transformer.

Here's one I picked up a few weeks ago. I plan to clean it up a little cosmetically and fix the minor carpentry imperfections. But overall, pretty well made. I like some of the design ideas. This is based on a Tubelab SE board. This is a 45 SE, with the option(choke) of also running 300B. 1.5 glorious watts!
