I think it's time to put my V-Max on eBay... I've owned it for 5 years, and I think I've ridden it about 5 times without some sort of malfunction! Yesterday the fuel pump started making a horrible clatter, and quit, and while I was troubleshooting that, the V-boost servo motor seized up. Lucky I have a parts bike, but I'm going to fix these two issues and pass it on to another V-Max enthusiast (with full disclosure of issues, of course). My "daily rider" R1 never has any problems, and my '85 VF1000R has enough problems to keep me busy not needing two project bikes.

Bike Show - 1 of 2

Not my main bailiwick [unlike some very old 'mates' of mine]; but one friend got me a free ticket to a show, yesterday; and I thought 'if one guy here smiles at the sight of one of these bikes: "Job done"'. So:

My friends had some fake oil spots that they were slipping under the brit bikes, while the owners weren't looking :D

Thanks for sharing :) Those bikes look awesome. I remember wanting that Moto Guzzi back in the day. I also loved the Honda Turbos. Boy did they look like they were out of the future back in the early 80's

Nice looking FZR, is that the twin headlight model?

The Victory bikes aren't bad either for a cruiser.:D

That's a 1987 FZR1000 I bought new in 1987. I was 21 at the time. I added the Nitrous shortly after getting it.

The blue/black Vic has run a best of 11.29 @117mph in the 1/4 mile. Top speed is a bit over 140mph. It would go faster, but it runs out of gearing. Most guys on crotch rockets are not very good at the dragstrip, and that thing will eat the 600's for lunch. I'm pretty good at cutting a light though, which really puts the inexperienced 600 squids at a disadvantage. Even up against Busa's, I put the whollop on them coming out of the hole.

The orange/black Vic is ripped apart at the moment, getting a blown alcohol motor built for it.
