Face it, old dudes, the English language changes with time. The whole "vinyls" debate is just a marker of which era you grew up in... pre-CD or post-CD.

I feel exactly the same way regarding incorrectly referring to digital audio discs as CDs.

The correct term is DAD, and it should be universally changed to DAD. DAD is digital audio disc, just as DVD is digital video disc. It makes a whole lot more sense than CD.

Isn't a CD a compact Vinyl Record, I mean LP, scratch that I mean Album :scratch2: I'm lost:yes:

There is a difference between referring to the medium as "vinyl" (such as "I have that album on vinyl") and twisting it into a new noun.

One follows from the other. Nobody referred to records as vinyls when people referred to the medium as records.
