What tv show are you currently binging?

This is GREAT news! I'm just finishing up S02 (two Epis to go), then on to S03, the viewing pace of which I'm gonna attempt to "teather" some to make it last a bit longer... call it Tantric Televiewing, lol.

In any event, a S04 will be most welcomed.
Yeah, I’m waiting for S04 too. Good stuff.

Marco Polo (NETFLIX)

Lots of action at the start...kinda turning into more of a soap at present.

Costumes and settings are fab. Martial arts are very well carried out.

Colossal production in general. I wonder just how close they are presenting the real history of these times.

re: The Expanse

- well S02 finished w/ a bang and it took everything in me to NOT dip into S03, @ least Epi 01. But I will ... tonight.

Justified on Fx if memory serves... It’s based on an Elmore Leonard short story. Top notch writing and one of the best endings to a series ever. After investing 6 or 7 seasons on a show, I hate when the ending doesn’t live up to the rest of the show...

Well, I'm hooked on both the Outlander novels, and the series on STARZ, season 4 just having wrapped up.

I imagine the viewership is 90% women on this series. Some would dismiss this as a bodice ripper historical series. Doesn't matter to me- I enjoy the historical timelines- post-war WW-II Britain, mainly Scotland, and 18th century Scotland Highlands. Time travel, ripping good storylines, war, battle, intrigue, and Caitriona Balfe is VERY easy on the eye.

I forgot about Justified. That was a great series and probably the time I binge watched anything - did not even know that term until then.

Then it was all episodes of X-Files since I'd only seen two or three when it was broadcast.

After that was all episodes of House which I never watched any of before. I could not get my head around Hugh Laurie being lead character. My association with him was as The Prince Regent in Blackadder. It was too far a stretch for me to imagine him in another role. That said, House was an unexpectedly great series. My thoughts have always been that British TV shows were superior to American offerings. Being British, maybe Hugh Laurie had a hand in production or scripting and upped the game of that one.

Just finished two series on Netflix.
- One Strange Rock. National Geographic show about our planet that I really enjoyed and found enlightening.
- The OA Season 2. If you saw season 1, you know it's weird. Season 2 doubles down on the weirdness, but I liked it. Some odd facts about the series; it's written, directed, produced by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij. Marling is also the lead actor. Batmanglij's brother (of Vampire Weekend) does some of the score, Brad Pitt's production company "Plan B Entertainment" is one of those backing the shows.

Just watched the entire first season of Veep on HBO last night. Normally, I can't watch more than three episodes in a row of anything, but this was different. I'd forgotten what a rapidfire script it has, with the actors delivering the biting dialogue with deadpan precision. The season was over and it was 1 AM before I knew it.

Season 2 tonight if I can stay up that late.
