What tv show are you currently binging?

Last night HBO ran GOT season 1. I caught 4 episodes before I had to go to sleep. Really looking forward to the new season on Sunday.

Finished both seasons of Stranger Things in a few days....first time I've binged watched any show.....

Just finished Love, Death & Robots on Netflix. At this point it is one season with 18 episodes. All are animated Sci-Fi to some extent or another, and the styles of animation varied greatly.

The eps run from 6 minutes to 17 minutes, so all "shorts", which I really appreciated. Tell your story and GTFO. Some were funny, some were thought provoking. Some were sexy as hell, and some were gory as hell. Some are just dumb.

I think I remember something about Netflix playing around with their presentation order, so that different viewers will see them in different sequence. Odd, since the eps don't have any real continuity to share. A few that I really liked were "Helping Hand", "Zima Blue", "The Secret War" and "Lucky 13".

Couldn't hang in w/ Expanse after 1 season, dunno why.

Now watching Westworld season 2, as I'm back paying for HBO NOW during Game of Thrones time. 4th ep is pretty good, and well-regarded by reviewers, but there's not a ton of compelling new story so far imo. Edit: should note I'm loving the audio on the Westworld stream. Interesting music and good sfx.

I've been watching the third season of Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix. Basically an "Undead Comedy". It's pretty funny - WAY overacted for comic intent by Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant (Deadwood or Justified, anyone?) in the lead roles. Their daughter (Abby) is played by Live Hewson, and she is very good. Nathan Fillion plays a surprising role (that I won't spoil) and is fricking HILARIOUS. Stories are goofy as hell, but that seems to be the intent. Lots of interesting roles and some surprising cameos.

I've been anticipating the new season of Bosch on Amazon Prime. Los Angeles Homicide Detective stories. Love the series. Quite a few good actors in this one. Was never much of a fan of Titus Welliver, but he nails this title role. Good stories each season. In earlier seasons, Bosch is revealed to be a vintage music fan, buys vinyl at local record stores in LA and plays them on Macintosh equipment through Ohm speakers in his glass walled house in the Hollywood hills.

Trapped, a very good murder mystery set in Iceland, Border Town, a Finnish detective series, Blacklist, The Crown, Russian Doll are some I have been watching lately. And a nod to Californication and the Good Wife. Oh, and Sex Education, very good and very funny. Might be a bit much for some.

I finished up the current season of Santa Clarita Diet yesterday. The last episode was pretty packed with events, and a couple interesting twists. It's still way over the top as far as acting goes, but it's somewhat inventive as far as story telling. It's a cheesy show, but I found myself really enjoying it and just going along for the ride.

Just finished "Our Planet" on Netflix. Stunning visuals and you learn about the interconnectivity of animals, water and plants.

It's not a political series about global warming, although they frequently touch on how humans have changed the planet over hundreds of years.

Highly recommended. Surprisingly entertaining.

Currently: just started my recently purchased "WKRP in Cincinnati"(the later, & better Shout brand DVD box set offering), and think it`s a darn funny sitcom.
I got into watching & enjoyed this show in the late afternoon while it was in syndication on a independent local TV station in 1978~80, whilst employed as a local South Miami FL. band`s FOH Sound Engineer/light man, 6 nights a week.
The DVD transfer is pretty good quality IMHO.

Absentia, with Stana Katic. She plays an FBI agent based in Boston.
Dark (she gets kidnapped).

Orphan Black was one of the best shows of its kind I have seen.

Re-watching season 1 of Lucifer. Lauren German is funny, which was a surprise to me.

Need to check out that death and robots show.

OK - after watching Santa Clarita Diet season 2 and both John Wick movies, I'm going to start re-watching Deadwood. I don't remember Timothy Olyphant being THAT bad an actor, and Ian McShane never disappoints.

I forgot some of the great character actors in this series;
William Sanderson (brother to Darrel and the other Darrel) as E.B. Farnsworth
Brad Dourif as Doc Cochran. I remember him first in the movie Dune.
Jim Beaver as Ellsworth - first noticed him as the father in the Supernatural TV series.
Jeffery Jones as newspaperman A.W. Merrick - remembered from Ferris Bueller's Day Off

There are a bunch more coming in later episodes. such a good show...
