Which Cerwin Vega's are the most collectible?

CV+1215.JPG

Most collectible 380 SE's

I have to submitt these as collectible. I have put them up against my Altec Model 19's and they surprised and impressed me. I want to sell them, but just can't seem to do it after hearing a side by side comparison.

Dave surely has the nicest 12tr and 15t´s ... then again, wanted to share a few pics too :) Beautifull speakers...

Many years ago Cerwin Vega also produced a giant called something like metron suft-fet with planar tweeter arrays and a 15 inch subwoofer. Never got to hear them.

I have a picture of them in a Speaker Buyers Guide I have saved since the late 70's.....the old buyers guides had pictures of every model listed and a short write-up describing it.

Let's see a picture of those 380 models .:thmbsp:

I like the few CV's that have pleated cloth surround Woofer's. Not many of them out there like the 380 SE.

any more info? on the hard rocker series? I think the 317p is considered one. but I am looking at some smaller 311p's are they considered hard rockers? anyone know about this smaller 12' version? spec's or pic's?.... I remember listening to these back in the late 70's they can Rock the house:)

heres a magnificent specimen for collectable cerwin vegas . the 211 is like no others i have had . these are not rock speakers like my at 15 or the at100 . these sound truely amazing with anything . crystal clear with great bass . not muddy and screaching like my later models ive mentioned . my 123 woofers and horns from a set of 211r where shipped today coming home reconed and new diaphrams . thes woofers have a giant magnet . woofer weights in at more than 13# . thats alot of 12" woofer . disregard the pretty dustcaps added when the original woofers where reconed . 122w2 8 ohm woofers same as 123 is 8 ohm woofers

man, I wish I could get my paws on the hard rocker series.. the 317p or 311p's what animals! and wicked rock and roll these speakers could pound out...

I really like my 217R's. They have stayed as "keepers" for the last couple years. I also liked a pair of D-7's that I bought brand new in 84' or 85'. The 217R Vega's are the outside/top speakers. The third pic I stole off the internet to show the rear firing horn. :guitar:

A few from my vintage collection - nothing newer than 1980:

Eight 12TR's (photo)
Two 15T's (photos)
Four S-1's
Two 320MT's

I bet those go very, very deep. nice collection!

And I'll add that my D5s though not particularly collectible, still make me grin. And that's what really counts, yes? They're just the right blend of size and ka-pow.
