Just curious, is anybody using the IDS 25?
http://www.ids25.com/

I've not heard of anyone heere owning a pair of these. The mfr brought them to the 2007 AK Fest, but sadly, they didn't get a fair hearing because the guy insisted on playing them LOUD.

The few times he turned them down to levels that didn't give me instant sonic overload, they sounded good, but lacking something in the bass/warmth area. Very detailed and dynamic, but a bit cool, for my taste.

I prefer the sound of my Pipedreams, which are a similar design, but with separate tweeters and bass units. It'd be interesting to see what newer wide-range drivers might do, like Audience A3s. OTOH, for all I know, the existing drivers might be better already.

Vandersteen 2Ce Signature II, biwired, running off the 4 ohm taps of my MAC 1500.
In my 12' wide x 16' long x 8' tall room, the rated 30 wpc is plenty.

YMMV

hmmm,an 18 year old thread with 16 years since the last reply before today. This one is a dusty crusty moldy oldie.

JBL L 150A receiving power and signal from MC 2250 and C 32.
