Do you carry a Pocket knife ?

There are always a few things in or on my pants.

Wallet, with chain, clipped to a belt loop. Has several RFID protection sleeves built in.
Keys, with clip, hung on a belt loop and stuffed town the right rear pocket. Includes a P-38 can opener.
Leatherman Wave (2nd generation) on the belt. The 2 blades are an easy one hand open and close.
Chapstick. Left front pocket.
Pocket watch. Right front pocket watch pocket.
Gerber Dime with a small eyeglass screwdriver attached on a small chain, right front pocket.

Standard for many years, all of it gets used. And after it gets used it goes immediately back in it's spot, always.
This works well for me because I seldom go out of the house without my pants so I never forget to bring the stuff along.

I get it. Totally. It's basically about having a pocket knife. Very useful tools and each has it's place.

I got this knife maybe 25 years ago from Cabela’s as a gift for being a Club member. It locks tight and sharpens well. It has survived a few inadvertent washings.

It’s very very comfy in my pocket. I carry it wherever and whenever I can. Can’t risk losing my official ’Grandpa’ card.

I was gifted this Leatherman Micra in the '90s and this is the epitome of EDC for me. I use a Wave and other multitools. All too bulky to be EDC for me.

I recently took a toothbrush to it after a soak in WD-40 and scrubbed the hell out of it. It took scotch brite to attack some surface rust on the bottle opener. I'm not sure why that was the most used and exposed tool... ?

I seldom carry this but liked the idea of it. SOG "cash card" - well made, 2-1/2" locking blade. Plus a belt clip.

Here's a German army knife I found in a parking lot a long time ago. It had a what appeared to be a blood-stained piece of paracord on it. The marking on the blade reads "I.C.A.R". which I'm unfamiliar with. I've only used it for its saw blade.

Another Opinel - the #8. Lockable in either open or closed position. Crazy value at about $20.

Knife - Milwaukee 'fastback' - I have a nice Buck and a few others but for everyday this is what I use these days. One hand open - replaceable utility blades.
Flashlight - Streamlight - Rechargeable very bright
Lighter - Bic classic always

I'd feel naked without even one of these items.
Fire - light - steel. The original birth-rite of humans.

Benchmade mini Bugout - beautiful little knife. It is farmer's market season here and you feel pretty silly buying fruit and cheese with nothing to cut it. And I really hate trying to do it with a blade that is going to collect cheese in the thumb groove! Long enough for cutting food, but small enough to fit in the jeans pocket with the clip outside, I don't notice it.

A friend of mine always used to say "a man without a knife is a man without a life". Very rarely will you find me without my pocket knife - just too useful and usually a little pocket sharpener. Nothing special. My go to was the SOG Twitch 2, then a Klein with rubberized grips that I really liked but the rubber got ratty from carrying it around - but hey its a tool. Right now I have a Cresent that is all steel with an "open" frame - which is great until you forget to clip it to your pocket and it ends up picking up your loose change

3-4 of them were confiscated by airport security. Took my guava jam too, asshole. So small I forget it's in my pocket.
Funny, finally I learned. This one I've had for 10 years. My daughter's boyfriend grabbed it from the TSA at the airport.

I have the same one in blue. I have had it on my keychain for many years, and it has served me well many times. The scissors more than the knife blade!

I have a mult-tool Victorinox, the kind that almost has every tool. Got that for got Christmas, 50+ years ago. Still have that, minus half the scissor.

I also just love the knife.
Have one carbon that went all over the country backpacking. Probably bought in the 70's IIRC. Use it for around the yard now.

Found in my travels here and there a good source and bought four so far of the new SS green #8's for.......$8 US.

They have a new safety collar that I don't like. Keep thinking of switching the blades into the older for having the blade wore due to use at the base. A notch or wear from being tighten over the years. But love that carbon blade....

I have a Leatherman Micra and carried it for a long time but have found that I like the Gerber Dime with mini pliers much better.

Had a Leatherman Wave and never carried it.
Found it to be clunky, to big for a pocket and in pouch in the way. Gave it one of my sons. He loved it, so go figure.
