Do you carry a Pocket knife ?

Current edc is a Benchmade Mini Freek. For years id change-up a knife when i found something i liked more but this one has been a keeper.

Previous to this was a Benchmade Mini Bugout. Nice knife but didnt like the skinny grips. Gerber Paul is a great knife but kinda bulky.

Both my grandfathers carried a knife. Paternal grandfathers was a farmer in Louisiana and always had a large, stag horn folder while maternal grandfather was a banker in Boston. He always carried a small, silver pen knife. Very different gentleman.

I have a Leatherman Micra and carried it for a long time but have found that I like the Gerber Dime with mini pliers much better.

I have to agree. And it's nice to have the blades/tools (and all-important bottle opener) on the outside at the ready.

I have carried a pocket knife since I was seven or eight years old. My wife recently bought me an Opinel, so that's what I'm carrying these days. I also always have with me my Leatherman Raptor shears, EagleTac D25C light (with spare battery) at least one way to get a fire going, and a Glock 19.

No longer made and is considered "vintage". lol!

I have this one too. It’s awkward to open but you’re right… serious tools you can get leverage with. I’m looking for mine now.

Here's a collaboration between Spyderco and the Italian knife maker Lionsteel. To me it's too much knife to carry everyday. It goes in the Land Cruiser console.

I don't always carry a knife or multitool, but I have one of these on my keychain everywhere I go: a Victorinox Classic SD Alox.

I got it as a stocking stuffer about 15 years ago. It's great for all kinds of small tasks like cutting open charcoal bags for barbecuing, cutting open bags of rock salt during winter, for opening packages, and for all kinds of general uses.

Surprisingly, I use the scissors as much as I use the blade. I don't think I've ever used the file, though. But I use this little thing all the time, and I don't know what kind of steel this thing is made of, but I've never sharpened it, and it's nearly as sharp as it was when I got it.

It makes quick work of everything I need it for. It's tiny, it fits on my keychain, it's literally the length of a house key, and it takes up no room in my pocket. When it was given to me, I never thought I'd use it as much as I do. It's the antithesis of flashy and exotic, but it just works.

I'm 73 and last year I started carrying a knife daily. I've had a Swiss and a small Buck most of my life and rarely carried. A very close friend passed early last year and he had maybe 20 pocket knifes. I carry his favorite as a reminder.

It's never too late to pick up a good habit, I suppose. I've carried a pocket knife of some sort or another since I was seven or eight years old. I think I was 30 before I could actually sharpen one properly, but that's a different story.

I used to carry a small Kershaw pocket knife every day while working as an engineer to open boxes, cut zip ties, etc.

But being retired, I don't carry one every day anymore; just on road trips or hikes.

The 154CM holds a very nice edge.

I've had this one with me for more than a decade. Received as a gift and it works well with light shorts and our 10 months of summer.

Also added compact Lansky sharpeners to the gear. There are plenty of other tools that I use before I reach for this knife. Helps keep the blade in good condition for the case of needing it as a last resort.

Keep a 110 in my Truck.

Here are a couple of my daily carries.
The top is my yard knife now. Bought it in the 70’s and took it everywhere. Great for camping. Picked the green up last year so it replaced the old friend for out and about.

I have a 110 as well, but it is Huge compared to the 055. I can barely tell the 055 is in my pocket.
