Could be. Septic Shock can progress from any number of initial infections.
I've seen cases where a bug bite on an arm has led to amputation. It was either amputation or death — those were the two alternatives.

This pretty much answers the age old question: Should you have Pininfarina or Jony Ive design the Ferrari EV?
My 1983 XJ6, 70-something K miles. It’s been in a garage for almost twenty years. I don’t know why. I drove it in and never drove it again. It will not be easy to wake it up.
So very un-Ferrari like.

.We had a 1972 XJ6 back in the 80s's -- wonderful car, super high quality everywhere, very nice to drive, but needy mechanically and A/C-challenged to the point that we had to let it go.
We've had a 2005 XJ8 for about 10 years -- the new ones (2004-2006) are very reliable and drive amazing -- the bonded composite/aluminum body makes it super light compared to other luxury cars, and the V8 has tons of torque, so it's super-responsive everywhere and feels surprisingly light on its feet. They also are very inexpensive to buy, likely because they are largely presumed by the buying market to be unreliable.
It takes some work to keep an XJ6 going, so I see how it can sit -- but if you ever feel inclined to get a 2004-2006 XJ8 -- I personally guarantee it will be your daily driver!

So true! It's a pretty car, but demands more attention than I can give it. I'll actually be happy to see it go to someone who is all in for keeping it in good shape.
I was going to explain why I parked it (life happened, I guess). But I realized you're asking why it will be hard to revive? The main thing is it had two half-full tanks of fuel that has turned to an amber sludge that smells like paint thinner. I drained one, and the other doesn't drain even with the petcock removed, so we'll see what that's all about. I'm hoping I don't have to remove the tanks and can just flush the fuel system with fresh fuel and it will start it up. I'm also hoping it's not too mad at me for abandoning it.
With the earlier Jags, starting the next day wasn't even guaranteed after parking overnight, let alone 20 years
. It was just bad design -- all of the materials were top-notch in quality -- there wasn't a cheap element anywhere, but they just were constantly needy

You could be a band in a van and start touring (and if you already have a band, I'd agree you need a van). When I had a Sansui Quad system with four huge speakers, and my only car was a Fiat, it was quite the all-day project moving into another apartment in another city.
Or a Volvo Wagon ... fit 4 of these in-wall Janszen Jan-Kit Z-41 modules in mine
