DOES YOUR STEREO DO IT'S JOB?

Very happy with my living room conversation piece Pioneer SX727 and what seems like the perfect match BIC venturi 10" speakers.

Also happy with my man cave Sony STR-AV 1010 and Boston Acoustics 6.5 bookshelves.

...and reasonably happy with my shop system Sony STR-AV 1000 and low end Pioneer 12's.
(was better with Yamaha 6.5's and matching Yamaha sub)

Even with the smallish magnets on the less that TOTL Pioneer 12's you can still hear them down the street on volume level 4!

My answer to that is a resounding YES!

A single system that does it all well (IMO) is what's in my "room". I rarely change gear. I have no desire to update/upgrade anything. When I play music (daily) I forget all about the gear. All that matters is the music. One would think that's a good indicator of how I feel about the sound I'm getting.

I have a very modest 5.1 system using an HT receiver in my bedroom. It's mostly for watching movies and rarely used for straight audio. Headphones via a laptop > DAC > headphone amp is how I usually listen to music there. I have no desire to change anything there either.

So, whatcha' got?:dunno:

If you say so there will be a plethora of posts with suggestions on what to change.:D

I am very happy with my newer Luxman and could only be happier if it was a 509 and not a 505. :)

I love my speakers but looking for something new for the main rig. Looking into the Fyne F502s

I have several other systems of various price points that I love for the duty they do.

I got 3x as much gear as I thought I would have.when I first set off on building one.

I'm even happy with my NuMark turn table with USB out.

Wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it turned out to be.

You and I are cut from the same cloth. I don't like changing gear myself. It's why I went so hard on room acoustics and EQing my room.

As for the OP's question, yeah, I am more than satisfied. The system I have now has brought me the most joy out of any system I've ever had. I finally found what I've been looking for.

I have three systems running and I like them all. The front one stays pretty much the same and the bedroom ones change all the time. I would be really bored with one system.

No matter how much you've spent, what anyone else says detrimentally about your System, whether it's Tubes or SS etc! No matter how far out of normal views it seems how many of you are satisfied with your System?
Well... do it's job... a little defining... if it's job is to recreate the sound that was recorded and place it in your presence I don't think it exists.... good ones, but not that. Now if it's job is to bring audio pleasure into the scene where it is playing... I would say yes... most of them have done their job and I'm satisfied to enjoy the pleasure it provides. I mostly don't think of what might be improved when listening, more think on what's good about it. It's easy to find yourself amazed that this is even possible.

The short answer is yes!
The long answer is yes!

I turn it on and very happy with the music that comes out.
