DOES YOUR STEREO DO IT'S JOB?

It most certainly does. Its taken over 3 years for it to get to this point but carefully choosing the gear has yielded an exceptional system imo.

I'm very satisfied with all four of my systems. It's taken quite a while and some luck to get the right pieces, but it was worth the wait.

I'm happy with my current setup. I'm always open to upgrades though. I'm living in the 90s. Levinson no 23, Nakamichi ca7a, Pioneer PLC590, Denon DCD3300, Thiel CS2.2

Yes - I've swapped a lot of parts in and out and I'm very content with what I have (for now, of course). I've even quit looking at reviews of the latest and greatest pieces. Are there better systems out there - sure, but I'm happy now.

I'm satisfied with the sound I'm getting. Pretty much done with the system except maybe a cart upgrade when the current cart needs replaced.

Happy with it all other than the set up in the room. Set up could be better. All my systems are a bit compromised with the set up.

Yes !!
For what they are, and where their at, and what I expect of them for their SQ capability in the 7 room`s systems of my house.

For my main critical listening living room`s system, with it`s last major $$$ upgrade & update over 10 yrs ago, I`m totally happy & satisfied, and can only think of one "possible" upgrade, which would be considered, but only if the price was almost a give away, would be to acquire another Mc. MC 275LE to swap out the currently & perfectly operational and seemingly capable, that was electronically restored by me, MC 60(sans it`s 2 rectifier tubes), that drives the XRT 30`s matching center channel speaker duty, in my tri-amplified Mc XRT 30 speaker system, for the extra dynamic head room that the mono configured MC 275LE would provide when the system is played at realist SPL`s , + it would be a better power match to the existing (4) mono configured MC 275LE`s that are currently driving the XRT 30`s tweeter`s & mid frequencies s drivers in the XRT 30`s line arrays.

Though I`ve never heard the MC 60 protest during the past ~6 yrs. use, when playing the multichannel/surround sound selectable audio option, multichannel SACD`s, Pure Audio BluRay discs, or music concerts, and of course BluRay, DVD movies.

I`m just not going to look for a MC 275LE, even though I can easily afford to track down & buy a BNIB if I wished, if I found one that was available.
But if one was very, very attractively priced and offered to me, I might consider.

Ciao

Yes, yes it does. It only really gets used for Vinyl, so its optimized for pulling maximum info off of the disk. Where i am most pleased with my system is in the bass registers. Upright bass, sousaphone and organ music has a way of organically, naturally plowing through my listening space, with real force, and in a true musical balance with the rest of the recording. I am in heaven.

It took decades to get here.
Clarifying question:

Is a stereo still a stereo if it requires a 3rd channel for bass?

Yes happy with living room and man cave systems.
Had to move JBL l40’s a little for new sectional sofa.
Happy with new setup.
Enjoy the music

Yes, it's never done it's job better since I integrated my 2 ch and 5.1 HT systems finally using the HT Bypass facility on my 2ch analog pre-amp. No change to my all analog (past the DAC) audio signal path to which an AVR only amplifies the center and rear channels and provides line level for the mains. The result is very synergistic. DQ-10's happen to make excellent movie soundtrack speakers too. And It all works on an ancient Harmony One remote. I'm very pleased. I'm just missing a tube phono stage to replace the one that crapped out.

It's a sub channel of the other two, not an actual additional channel, just a 3rd speaker.

I'm very happy with my system, Have been for several years. The only change is swapping out the speakers once a year (Celestion Ditton 442's) for (Boston Acustics series II 150s) and the next year swapping them back. I enjoy both sets so much that I just have to swap them out once in a while

Considering what I have invested, I am thrilled with my system. Listening tonight, vinyl I bought 40 years ago and it never sounded better.
