In Boston, we pronounce it "pie-uh-nee-ya."

It's not pronounced like the "low" in low down but like the "low" in allow.

How about the pronunciation of "Micro Seiki?" When I was a kid and I got a turnable by this company nobody ever heard of, my brother pronounced it "Micro Sucky." He could be such a prince. By the way, when I pronounce "prince" it sounds like "jerk."
