Just recieved 103 free LP's.

Great haul! Looks like there's some fun stuff in there.

I take a conservative approach on getting rid of odors. I concur with putting the covers outside for a good airing. I've also found Swiffer clothes work well for removing dirt and shining up covers.

Nice haul. Enjoy the sorting, cleaning and listening. Check out that Buffy St. Marie LP. I have that one, includes a cover of Neil Young's Helpless.

+1. With Buffy, nice album

It's just the 2nd I have listened to so far, and it's also very good. Another artist I never listened too. A very unique Female voice, and unusual vocal control.

I'm still working through them, this is more fun than I would have thought, Here is another pic to satisfy the prior request.

12ax7, I did not find any Phil Ochs.

I love that Bobbie Gentry album. I bought three copies over a period of a few months in an effort to find a really good one. Mission accomplished...eventually.

I Spy a copy of Donovan, the ultimate hippy music!! Ahhhh I remember..... ooops, can't tell that story here.

One method for cleaning, that I haven't tried yet, but is on the schedule for the next cleaning session is one AKer was saying the a wipe down with a cotton rag and a spritz of lemon pledge goes a long way if they aren't visibly moldy. And I do love the lemony smell!

Yep, you got some good ones. Do some research on the Dylan records as they may be valuable. The Rare Bird LP is also very collectible.

This recent acquisition, has me questioning my audio sanity.

I just re-arranged this system so now it is all analog. It now sports triple turntables.

Hey even that "Remember How Great" LP is good stuff.. If its a clean copy its a great way to get a start on the hits of the 1940's (jazz, vocals, instrumentals, etc... Has everything from Ellington to Clooney to Cugat) Ive had Vols 1 and 2 since i was a teenager (they were very old then, in the early 1980's!)
Very underrated LPs.

I've got both Vol. 1 & 2 in great condition. They're a wonderful anthology of the time. There's a great Louis Armstrong cut on one of them.
