The amazing thing is that they reissued the Emerge lp on vinyl. The lp I have is the original ABC Probe version.
Another band that you are probably be familiar with that I like is Crow. Crow by Crow being my favorite and then Crow Music.

Anything by Mott the Hoople from "The Hoople" earlier. Anything by Terry Reid, but especially "Bang Bang", "Terry Reid" and "River". The Guess Who, especially "Rockin'", but anything from "10" and earlier. J. Geils Band first two LPs. Delaney, Bonnie and Friends "To Bonnie from Delaney".

This next Hendrix quote shows the highest respect one musician can possibly hold for another. Hendrix, over the microphone in the middle of a concert says, "You gotta check out this guy Terry Kath. His band is CTA. He's the best guitar player in the universe."

The Rory Gallagher album I meant is called "Photo-Finish." Shadow Play is one of the songs...
I saw Rory and his band live in 1987. They didn't pack football stadiums, but everyone left talking about how awesome the show was. It was like this audio energy pulsed through him into his guitar.

I was wondering how long it would take "Then play on" to show up!
I've considered starting a thread about albums that you might be afraid to clean.
I am so impressed with "then play on", I'll never clean this album for fear that I might change the sound for the worse.

I have three copies of "Emerge". My original I got when first released and which has an enlarged hole from playing so much and two other copies I got as cutouts :sigh: either at The Wax Museum or Electric Foetus in Minneapolis. One still hasn't been opened.
Yeah, Crow was another incredible band. I have The Best of and it's another album that's great from start to finish.
Oh and Dan Rinaldi was/is the best rhythm guitarist ever. You can hear him keeping everybody else in time in "Whatcha Gonna Do About It". After the break, the other band members are trying to speed up but he won't let them!
