What tv show are you currently binging?

Till now, had avoided the "Ted Lasso" (2020 Apple TV) series, but had missed out on a really great comedy experience!

One of the few up-lifting, positive TV offerings to be found, without blood, gore... seeking revenge.

It rides on a high note of 8+ratings, and for the most past the whole family can take it in, and perhaps learn a few life lessons from this offering.

Jason Sudeikis plays the protagonist with a flair, but there are others who do this equally well.

Based on the above ratings...I'd go as high as a 9!

Storm Chasers on Prime, might require a subscription to one of the optional channels to watch. It was produced by the Discovery Channel.

This was produced from 2006-2011(?) and for some reason the last season isn't available via Prime. Supposedly I might be able to log into Discovery or perhaps HBO Max to access it using the credentials I have from Prime. Haven't tried yet.

It's about various teams involved with chasing storms to gather data on storms or to capture video. It shows a big research project as well as some independent chasers too. A few of these teams have vehicles that have been modified to allow them to get close to or inside of a tornado.

It somewhat leans on reality TV regarding the way it was produced, but the tornadoes are real and it can get pretty crazy when they are on a storm.

I really enjoy that series.

There is another current series (In the Eye of the Storm Chaser as I recall) that is in its first season but I don't find it as interesting. It's mainly professional chasers under 30, very few of whom are meteorologist. That one isn't nearly as good as the older series.

"Ted Lasso" is consistently good but they do one thing that drives me crazy:

They use cell phone texts between characters to convey key moments. I have a reasonably large TV but I have to pause, rewind, walk within a few feet of the TV and read the dialog. The image of the phone usually takes up 10% of the screen. They don't include the text in the captions either.

Where's the complaint desk? WTF Apple!

Just wrapped up "I will find you" (NETFLIX 2025)

Started out well, but got plot-complex really fast!

Like a lot of series, based on a book (Coban's), it suffers due to a loss of background info.


You have to deal with the contrived scenes...but it's Hollywood!

We watched that mini series when it first came on during the pandemic ( I think it was on Netflix ?) It was a pretty good show, better in book form.

On Netflix - The Last Ship - a post apocalyptic tale of a US Navy Destroyer seeking out a cure for The Red fever, a pandemic destroying a majority of the world' population.
56 Episodes from a 5 year run on TNT (2014-2018). Midway through Season 3 - its fairly well written so far.

We watched His & Hers on Netflix- interesting whodunit with a nice twist at the end - 6 short episodes that go by quickly.

Unfamiliar. Watching Munch with my wife on PBS that was recommended by wife's friend. Really good acting and plots.

Just wrapped up the TV series "SILO" (2023 ), and it's a well written Sc/Fi offering that's better than the norm.

Yost provides a tight plot with little in the way of fillers keeping the viewer... in suspense.

I def see a sequel in the mix.
