I've gotten so over fight scenes that I now fast forward through them to see who won, and allow the show to move on. We do that with "bedroom" scenes too, unless there is also a lot of dialogue going on.

Seems to be the case.
I know a few Landmen in real life, most like the program but also find the (mainly) female characters annoying noise and fantastical ... echoes of, day, 25-30 years ago ... maybe longer ago.

I don't know a single person in my entire life - who would go next door and sneak a watch at their neighbors in bed. Does anyone know such people? But on TV it is made toally normal.
I really find that odd.
ha, but how do you know you don't know anyone like that? They likely don't advertise, "Hey, I peep for fun!"

Maybe I should rephrase my comment to this: "I've never heard anyone I know talk about watching their friends or neighbors having sex in the bedroom."
And yet, this is a standard part of nearly every TV show and movie. I wonder what the directors are assuming?
A couple years back, I started to notice another Hollywood Oddity. In so many drama shows/movies, there is a scene with men standing at urinals, and shaking their junk and zipping up. The only thing left is people sitting on toilets, I guess.

Grey's Anatomy ... even the male cast are wimmin ... never made it through even a single episode.Yeah, to keep the women watching it seems they always have to fall into "soap opera" mode. Suits did it BAD after season 3. I was there for the courtroom stuff but in one case they just glossed over that aspect and went straight into the he'in' and She'in' in great detail. Don't care. That's why my wife is binging Grey's anatomy right now and I've tried to watch but just not my thing. It needs more car chases.
Watching Damages on Prime ... up to S01 Ep10 - brutal violent view of manipulative lawyers and greedy businessmen (Ted Danson!).
Kinda wondering what they'll do with the innocent new associate - not sure we'll keep watching.
And S04 Ep01 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - an interesting season starter!

I noticed back in the 70's regarding sitcoms, that suddenly the smart people in the room were the children. And then in the 80's, the dumb people in the room were the men. But that is, honestly, to be expected. The primary intended audience of sitcoms was women. Men mostly watch TV for documentaries, movies and sports. Though I used to love The Man From Uncle, The Streets of San Francisco, The prisoner, etc.
In fact, I just started watching Mannix (which I loved back in the day). I'm into the third episode. I forgot how good that show was. And So was Rockford Files. The stories are great (though some of the guest actors SUCK), and the photography in Mannix is way ahead of its time. I'm guessing it was eventually cancelled simply because it was too expensive.
BTW, the movies in the 60's and early 70's all featured a single dad, and then they switched to all single moms. Again, since the target audience is women, that makes sense.
Examples, "My Three Sons", Courtship of Eddies Father, Family Affair.
Television shaped generations. Fortunately, mine was shaped by shows like Leave it to Beaver and Father Knows Best. The whole thing devolved into shows like The Simpsons, Married with Children and Family Guy.

I used to work at Video Concepts. At the time, we rented movies and sometimes, when people rented certain movies, I wanted to say to them: Just cut to the chase and rent pr0n.
And, frankly, part of the job, even for television actors these days, is to participate in bedroom scenes, with all the trimmings...
After that big deal about that actress that had "good jeans", someone told me to watch Voyeurs because she had an "interesting" scene in it. I did. It was pure, unadulterated "soft" porn from the 70's, only with higher standards in everything else that makes a movie good. i.e. good story, great acting, terrific ending, but we did a LOT of fast forwarding during the movie.
We're finding more and more that we are interested in older movies now. Few of the new ones are worth our time (Hail Mary being an interesting exception).

Mine shaped largely the same though I did like Norman Lear stuff.
Mannix was an awesome serial.

Good comments - thanks. I'm not crusading against porn - which is inevitable, and a massive GDP contributor. But, I would like a line of demarcation between THAT and what is supposed to be entertainment for everyone. It looks like a great many duds, get souped up by just adding a cheesy sex scene with the latest hot starlet.
Yes, but aside from that, Sweeny does have good jeans.

I watched a couple of episodes of Ride or Die and it looked, "ok". There were no raw sex scenes, not much violence. But I got to the third episode and the "top" agent makes boneheaded decisions I WOULD NOT HAVE MADE, but they were necessary to move the plot to where they wanted it to go. She went completely out of character. I turned it off. Done.
I've caught myself doing that with more and more modern releases. The writers are getting lazy.
It reminds me of that scene in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, where she's just starting out and they do a montage of her telling the same joke in different venues, but it gets batter and better. i.e. she refines it to perfection, delivery and all.
These videos are the script writing equivalent of her first iteration of that joke. Not bad, but not good. Not good enough to invest my time in.

I started watching Sugar on Prime via an AppleTV subscription. I was going to cancel the subscription but figured I'd look through to see if there was anything interesting I haven't watched.
So far it's an interesting series. I'm four episodes in. Two seasons available.
