greatest rock frontman ever.

I think Sammy Hagar is one of the best and has to be mentioned. If you've seen any of his shows he is amazing and you can tell he really loves performing

Jagger - saw him once, Steel Wheels tour at Shea Stadium... incredible energy. Ran from one foul pole to the other and back all night long. Great show.
Freddy Mercury - I was never a Queen fan 'till I saw a concert video on TV a month or two ago. He was amazing.
Buddy Guy - not rock, but the guy just oozes "it." Hendrix idolized him, as he should have.
Otis Redding (has he been mentioned?)
James Brown

For the basic obvious mainstream choices I gotta go with either Mick Jagger or Ian Anderson, probably leaning more towards Ian Anderson Such great stage presence and raw energy. Who new anyone could rock out a flute with that much energy? God I love Tull. Heard he actually got arrested after a concert once for "lewd and inappropriate public displays involving a flute." You fill in the blanks. :D

For someone less likely to be thought of as the greatest frontman, however, I'd have to say Rickey Medlocke, of Blackfoot, is definitely up there. Just check out this vid:

Lot of choices. Axl Rose , Roger Daltrey , Ann Wilson (!) , Ozzy Osbourne , etc.. I'll go with Robert Plant. I can't really call a "best" , so I'll go with a favorite.

i have never seen them in concert, but everyone says that Wayne from The Flaming Lips is a pretty great frontman.

Alive,Passed on or yet to be? I say yet to be as Rock is not yet dead and it's great to stay optimistic:):scratch2::thmbsp:
