Most underated classic rock lp's

Mostly unheard of 1969 album by Blodwyn Pig "Ahead Rings Out".
A much better known 1970 classic by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young " Deja' Vu".

i dig my old Rock\blues,anything from Roy Buchanan{dancing on the edge, second album, roy buchanan live stock,to procl harum,{broken barricades}to johnny Winter anything!special mention goes out to Scorpions {love at first sting}Allman Brothers and anything stevie ray vaughn

Patti Smith "Horses"

Seen her in Detroit right after that album came out and to this day it was the best concert I've ever been to!
I fell in love with her that night and it's haunted me ever since.

Any of the late 60's-early 70's LPs by Savoy Brown. Kim Simmonds is one of the most underrated/overlooked Blues Rock guitarists ever. He's still out there with SB playing club gigs and releasing new albums......check them out if you can!

Anything by Donnie Iris. Great powerpop. "Ah, Leah" is killer...turn it up!

Pretty much anything by 10CC.

IMHO Buffalo Springfield doesn't get as much play as they deserve.

Jeff Lynne..."Armchair Theatre" and ELO "Zoom" ""Zoom" is essentially a Jeff Lynne solo album...love the tunes! As little as .01 on the 'zon. "Armchair Theatre" is a little harder to find...would love it on vinyl but the price:yikes:
+1 on seeing "Split Ends" get a nod!

Danny O'Keefe's a really underrated songwriter...great music & he's still at it!

Camel has its fans around this joint:thmbsp:

JJ Cale's great for chillaxin'

+1 on the Jon Butcher!

Hate to flog this one...but "Boomtown" by David & David is outstanding. GREAT recording...good tunes, too.

Don't forget Lee Michaels!

That album deserves better than the label Classic Rock. Maybe just "classic".

am I the only one who thinks Joni Mitchell sounds like a bag of cats?

Nope. :)

I always thought she was the one thing that ruined The Band's Last Waltz.

I was going to mention Roy Buchanan's Live Stock, but someone beat me to it. Eric Claptons' E.C. Was Here is one of my "go to" LP's - I own a few copies because I play it so much. Never heard any of it much on the radio.

Can I recommend all the LPs that have been mentioned so far plus all the others to come?

Excepting, of course, later Elton John.

Somebody mentioned ARS earlier in the thread...

Mid 70s Atlanta Rhythm Section - Third Annual Pipe Dream, Dog Days, Red Tape...
