Refurbed 1981 Klipsch Cornwalls. Powered by MC275 IV. Rocks the house with a few watts. Cost less than my phono cartridge & sound great!

Not surprised to see that a lot of folks like McIntosh and Klipsch. Paul W. Klipsch changed his mind later in life and preferred SS over tube amps with his speakers.

Magnepan 1.6Qr's with the fuses and connector plates bypassed.

Interesting to see that outside of B&W, Klipsch has the biggest following.

Also good to the overwelming majority have other speakers than on the list. This just adds up to great variety.

Welcome Screwsquirel, I noticed this is your 1st post.

Jack

It's nice to see the JBL users chiming in here.....:D :thmbsp:

Welcome Screwsquirel!!

Pete

I'll bet the 4430's sing nice with the 2255! :thmbsp:

Pete

Thank you everyone!

I also have:

- Denon DL 103 cartridge

When I had my MC7200, I drove Magnepan MGLR1s...totally awesome combo.

When I borrowed my bro's MC2100 (and later my own MC250), I was driving a pair of Klipsch Cornwalls...awesome performers as well.

Being laid off and bankruptcy changed all that...sigh!

I've gone a totally different direction when I slowly rebuilt my new system, but with Mac amps I could live quite comfortably with either Maggies or Klipsch horn-loaded loudspeakers...maybe someday I'll do it again.

I am surprised that no one mentioned the Anthony Gallo speakers. They are quite a bargain at $3k and were much talked about a few years back. :scratch2:

Yeah yeah, nothing like a little mac on mac action. :)

I can vouch for that, more than most ;)

Oh, oh yeah, speakers... clinging tenaciously to the past - Mc Stereotech3s on the main system, and those boxy sounding little Lahtis in the office. For now at least.
