Perhaps, but it makes perfect engineering design sense as a plug-in. Better would be integrated directly to the arm.
Ortophon had the SPU integrated headshell LOMC.

The SPU and Xpresion have the same pivot to stylus distance. Knowing Ortofon the Concorde series is probably the same.

I thought some models of Rek-o-kut and Empire head shells were pretty. gross./ AR turntable head shells where just gross. Rabco didn't have head shells but the arm was pretty crude. Personnally I like Ortofon slim cartridges designed basically for DJ.s they and B&O MMC cartridges make using very precise and a breeze. B&O Sp 14 and 12 were different for sure.
