Pioneer RT-71 won't rewind and left spindle wont keep slack.
Just bought a pioneer RT71 and it plays however the left spindle has trouble keeping slack and it will not rewind. Do your R/R mail order decks arrive in good shape or not?

Where do you get your R/R's repaired?
How was your experience with the repairs? -
Are self-loading reels bad for tape?
At the end of a self-loading reel (the reels with 3 metal grippers and no slots) the tape was all stuck together for 30 feet or so and had crinks in it, losing emulsion with clear spots. Do you think this was caused by the self-loading reel or just tape decomposition? Thanks -

Teac A-3300sx 2t reel table repair question.
While repairing my Teac reel to reel, I found that the spindle for the reel table had broken off of the table itself. Would it be Ok to simply reassemble the reel table and JB weld it back together?
